Including bacterial isolation, bacterial identification, anti-microbial disc sensitivity and mould identification

Samples from clinical cases are cultured for bacteria to determine the cause of disease. Anti-microbial disc sensitivity is used to determine the best choice of antibiotic for treatment. The laboratory is one of a small number nationally accredited to perform Salmonella testing from animal samples. Salmonella serotyping will be added to the range of tests soon.
